Welcome Parents!

I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself.  I am a native Texan.  I grew up in Huntsville, Texas and attended Sam Houston State University. After graduating from college I worked in the Health and Wellness field. I have lived in Houston, California, and Washington state.  About a decade into my career, I had the desire to make more of a difference.  This is when I made the bold leap to start my career as an educator.  I went back to school and earned my teaching certificate.  I began my teaching in Huntsville, Texas where I taught Third Grade.  I worked at the same school there for two years.

In 2015, I moved from Huntsville to Washington state and taught Fourth Grade for a year and decided, I missed all the sunshine here in Texas and moved home! I joined the Wildkat family this year and look forward to an awesome year!

My husband and I have a daughter named Kylie who just turned Two! We have two furry dogs named CC Mamas and Jessie Girl.

In closing, it is important to me that you know I work very hard to provide your child with a safe, comfortable, and inviting classroom.  I teach the kids that we are a family and we treat each other the way we would like to be treated.  I also challenge the kids and have high, but reasonable expectations because I believe each and every child can succeed and meet those expectations.

I am so happy to have your child in my class and I look forward to partnering with you to help your child have the best school year possible.

Dear Parents,

I just wanted to let you know that your child will be taking Benchmark’s next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please make sure that they get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast as this is a practice for the STAAR.

With that being said we will also be starting Learning Summits soon, we will no longer be sending home homework or spelling words. Unless requested by you the parent. Remember Monday in a student holiday! Have an awesome weekend.
