First of all, Ms. Vasquez wants to express to you that it is a joy teaching your precious children! She comes to work with a smile on her face every day as she looks forward to the special moments the day will bring. She loves her job and the 2017-2018 school year marks her seventh year as a teacher!

Ms. Vasquez graduated from Sam Houston State University in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Bilingual Generalist Early Childhood through Sixth Grade. Ms. Vasquez is bilingual in Spanish and English. She is originally from Brownsville, Texas. This is also the seventh year she has been teaching at Meador Elementary. Ms. Vasquez taught third grade bilingual her first year, second grade dual language (Spanish component) her second year, second grade bilingual her third year, third grade bilingual her fourth, fifth, and sixth year and she is currently teaching third grade bilingual Co-teaching (ELA/SS component) for her seventh year. Ms. Vasquez has been a sponsor for the Robotics Club and Spanish Club. This year during the Spring semester, Ms. Vasquez started Meador's first ever Dance Program. Students in this program learned and performed different styles of ballroom dancing! 

In her spare time, Ms. Vasquez enjoys working out, scrapbooking, baking, shopping, organizing, cleaning, and catching up on her favorite television shows. She has attended  women’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense classes. She is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! More than anything, she loves to sing, dance, travel, and tries to visit her family as often as she can.
