Welcome to Mrs. Rogers' 3rd Grade Math and Science Class! I am so honored and excited to be one of your child's 3rd Grade Teachers. I received my Bachelors Degree from Sam Houston State University in 1992. After working several years in the "business world", I decided to get my teaching certificate. This year is my 13th year teaching and I love it! I enjoy teaching in the community where I live. I have an amazing husband named Henry and an amazing son named Conner who graduated from Willis High School and is currently attending Texas State University.

You will find that we will work hard in third grade, but it probably isn't as scary as you've heard. We will cover a lot of ground in math and science and your child will continue to grow and meet new challenges as they come up. I partner teach with Mrs. Edmiston. I will be teaching Math and Science and Mrs. Edmiston will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies. If you ever have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Email is the preferred method of contact and usually the quickest way I have to respond to you.

Valentine's Day Party

Valentine’s Party

Sorry this is going out with short notice, but I had a family emergency on Friday and was unable to get this out sooner.

Our Valentine’s Party will be on Wednesday, February 14th at 2:30pm. This will be a short time for the teacher and students (only) to share Valentines and a small snack.

The class has decided that they would like to make Valentine’s boxes or bags for their Valentine’s Day cards at home.  If they are not able to do this, I do have some supplies here. Please have them ready and send to school on or before February 14th.

If you choose to exchange cards please provide one for each student. We have 20 students in our class.

If you would like to send a small treat you are welcome to. We already have cupcakes, napkins, plates, cups, and juice.

Thank you,

Mrs. Rogers
