Welcome to Mrs. Ripkowski's page. She has been teaching fifth grade for 22 years. Mrs. Ripkowski was born in Lakewood, Ohio and moved to Texas in 1978. She is a graduate of Conroe High School and Sam Houston State University with a degree in Education EC-6th. She is also certified in ELS and GT. This is Mrs. Ripkowski's ninth year here at Willis ISD and Meador Elementary. She was named teacher of the year for Meador Elementary in 2011. Her position is teacher of a self contained classroom, meaning she teaches all subjects to one class of students. Mrs. Ripkowski lives in Willis, and both of her children graduated from Willis High School. She is proud to be a Willis Wildkat!

END OF THE YEAR IS HERE!

Field day for 5th grade is from 1:00-3:00 Tuesday, May 16th.
NEHS and STUCO field trip from 9:00-1:00 Thursday, May 18th.
District 5th grade track meet this Friday, May 19th at Lynn Lucas Track.
Science expo and graduation night is Thursday, May 25th starts at 5:30.
Last day of school 5th grade fun day starts at 8:45.
 
 

STAAR READING AND MATH TESTS ARE NEXT WEEK!

This week we will be preparing for our STAAR tests.
Tuesday, March 28th is the Math STAAR test.
Wednesday, March 29th is the Reading STAAR test.

LEARNING SUMMITS START TODAY 2-21-17

Students will move through a schedule where they will see all six teachers within a two day interval. They will partake in two math classes, two reading classes, one science class and enrichment/intervention alternating math and reading. All classes are 90 minutes. Should you have questions or concerns please get in touch with the student's homeroom teacher.

We will be taking the math and reading benchmarks this week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
