Athletic events are a very important aspect of school life and provide a wholesome way to influence the positive growth and development of our students. Whether our children participate as athletes or spectators, they can gain immeasurable value from these contests.
September 15, 2016 ~ We would like to invite you to Meador's Open House for 2016. There will be two nights for Open House on the following dates:
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade: Tuesday, October 4th, 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade: Thursday, October 6th, 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
We are hoping two nights will relieve some of the congestion nd give parents with students in more than one grade the opportunity to meet teachers without rushing.
We look forward to seeing everyone for this wonderful evenings!
Principals and coaches from Meador, Hardy and Parmley elementary schools recently attended a training for the Healthy Me program, sponsored by the Healthy Living Alliance and United Way.
Willis ISD fifth-grade students will have a better understanding of the nation’s supreme law this week as they prepare for the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. The North Shore Republican Women recently visited all five elementary schools to present fifth-grade students with brochures of the U.S. Constitution.
September 11, 2016 ~ Calling all Gifted and Talented identified students in grades 4 and 5 at Meador Elementary. A Destination Imagination Info Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 13 at 6pm in the Lynn Lucas Middle School Auditorium.

September 11, 2016 ~ Meador's 2nd annual Family Night will take place on Tuesday, September 13 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. At 5:30 pm pizza and refreshments will be available and at 6:00 pm a presentation about our Watch D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) and Meador MOMS (Moms of Magnificent Students) Programs. We would like to have ALL Fathers, Mothers, Grandfathers, Grandmothers, Father-figures, Mother-figures, Guardians, Aunts, and Uncles join us to hear about our wonderful programs. The goal is to have the men and ladies spend at least one day a year at our school to be a mentor at MES and serve as a positive role model for our students.
Please complete and return the bottom part of the orange invitation by Monday so an accurate count can be used for food and refreshments.
