October 9, 2015 ~ We are rounding out our awesome fundraiser and we could not have done it without you! Remember to have your child return both the order form and money in the collection envelope provided by Tuesday, 10/13. Please also make sure the top of the order form is completely filled out and that all the correct money has been turned in. They can give them to their teacher. We can't thank you enough for the incredible support you have shown in making a fundraiser a great success!
October 8, 2015 ~ The PTO ladies did a fabulous job decorating the front entry and office area to a fall and Halloween motif. The front entry bulletin board has several items you may want to check out as well as the entry table. Thank you ladies for making Meador festive for fall!
October 8, 2015 ~ Students get an extra day to sleep in on Monday, October 12th, while teachers will be hard at work gaining knowledge to benefit students.
October 1, 2015 ~ The beginning of October has marked the beginning of our Watch D.O.G.S and Meador Moms joining us at Meador for a day of fun with our students. Watch D.O.G.S. will have the opportunity to provide helpful hands in the classrooms, pull small groups for teachers in the classroom, and serve as a role model to our students. Meador Moms will have the opportunity to pull students to the library to work with them in small groups.
We look forward to having you spend your day with Marvelous Meador Scholars!

October 7, 2015 ~ Students in Mrs. Breuer's and Jenkin's class took a trip in the hall and outside to preformed an experiment testing the effects of friction from a variety of surfaces on the gravitational pull of muscles cars. Students completed the scientific process of generating a measurable question, listing materials, and the procedure to test our question. The students identified the variables and constants for the experiment, made a hypothesis based upon prior knowledge and experiences (we did a suspended reality/imagination dramatization to build scheme of friction), collected our data, wrote conclusions and reflections.
October 1, 2015 ~ Students at Meador Elementary participated in the NFL's Punt, Pass, and Kick. Students were divided up into age groups and competed against one another. The winner is each group will go onto the Sectionals in October or November, then the Team Championships in November and December, and finally to the National Finals at a Divisional Playoff game in January. We wish our Meador winners lots of luck as we hope they make it to the National Playoffs for the entire school to cheer them on!
