Betty the Bus

Betty the Bus December 2nd, 2014 ~ Students at Meador Elementary were visited by "Betty the Bus." The School Bus Safety Presentation featuring "Betty the Bus" is provided by Region 6 Education Service Center in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation. "Betty" teaches the students the proper loading and unloading (getting on and getting off the bus) procedures. She also teaches the students about the Danger Zone, Rules on the School Bus and Emergency Evacuations. From the questionnaires the students filled out, they learned a great deal which we hope keeps them safe when in and around school buses.
