Elementary Wildkat Golfers to Participate in Champions Challenge

Elementary Wildkat Golfers to Participate in Champions Challenge Willis, TX, March 26, 2015 – Eight Willis ISD elementary students have been chosen to participate in the Champions Challenge on Saturday, March 28th, an event tied to the Shell Houston Open Golf Tournament. Physical education and other teachers will volunteer at the event.

Spring Fling Success

Spring Fling Success March 23, 2015 ~ Thank you to everyone who visited Meador's Spring Fling. Even the rain didn't put a damper on the evening. There were MANY booths, lots of people who loved the snow cones, and even more who had a blast!

The 3rd grade students entertained our socks off and the Honor Choir put on a wonderful performance.

T-shirts, T-shirts, T-shirts March 17th, 2015 ~ Students have the opportunity to order a GROOOOOVVVVYYYY t-shirt. This shirt will be our t-shirt we wear for Spring Fling (March 20), Fun Run (April 16) and Field Day (May).

Please send $6 and the needed size with your student so we can get their shirt ordered for these upcoming events!!! We have shirts now, so students should have them fro Friday's Spring Fling! Click on the link to see the design on the shirt.

Box Tops!!!!!

Box Tops!!!!! March 17, 2015 ~ Your box tops coordinators have put their heads together and we are going go run a Box tops Contest from now until May 20th. The top 3 CLASSES with the most box tops will win a Popsicle or popcorn party of their choosing!

Students can individually get prizes based on how many box tops they turn in. Prizes will be in increments of 25 and students can bring the box tops to lunch to pick their prizes!

AAAANNNNDDDDD... stay tuned for a goal to reach!
Spring Fling

Spring Fling March 16, 2015 ~ Come out and join us for our SPRING FLING on Friday, March 20th. We will have games, food, and fun. Try your hand at Minute to Win it, ring toss, dino dig, plinko, nail painting, face painting, fish bowl toss, spin art, paint a tile, fish pond, 2 jump inflatables, and more! We will have a great concession stand and a cookie walk.

We have many wonderful items for the Silent Auction!

Don't miss the entertainment by 3rd grade in the cafeteria and Karaoke!

Get your pre-sale tickets this week. Tickets will be 12 for $5 (2 tickets free) or 25 for $10 (5 tickets free). Get your tickets in the car rider line this week or send the pre-sale order page - being sent home in your students Monday folder - back with money and we will send your pre-sale tickets home with your student.

We'll be having fun whether it is rain or shine!

School Reach is Willis ISD’s message broadcast system.

School Reach is Willis ISD’s message broadcast system. The service allows Willis ISD to communicate information by phone within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event that causes early dismissal, school cancellation or late start. It may also be used to convey general reminders or announcements. To review messages, call 855-955-8500 from the phone number to which the message was sent. Contact your child's campus if the number(s) provided for the School Reach system to use should change.
Student Handbook Has Been Uploaded
The 2014-15 Student Handbook for Willis ISD has been uploaded for parents and students to review. Please find the Parent link above. It will list several options. Find and click on the Student Handbook and it will take you to the current school year handbook.
MES School Calendar Has Been updated for the 2014-15 School Year
The school calendar has been updated on the website. The dates that are listed can change. If this does occur, MES will notify you asap to ensure that you are informed so you may make adjustments in your schedule if needed.
STAAR Testing Program Guide
Attached you will find an overview of the STAAR Tests. This guide explains the tests and what grades take these tests. Please review it and if you have questions, please call the school at 936-890-7550 and ask for someone who can answer your STAAR questions, Ms. Seith, Ms. Payne or Mr. Solberg.
